Are You Serious?!?!? Only 100 Days Till Christmas?!?!?

Yep, if you count today, that's true!!!

So consider this your Forgotten Hits Special Christmas Preview Issue!

(We'll still be doing our annual Twelve Days Of Christmas in December ... but we've been hearing more and more about some special holiday releases and concerts ... so we wanted to start getting the word out now!)

Artists -- promoters -- deejays -- managers -- if YOU'VE got a brand new holiday release in the works, PLEASE LET US KNOW so that we can help to get the word out.  "The Twelve Days Of Christmas" has become an annual tradition here in Forgotten Hits -- often we're the FIRST source to "Sneak Peek" these brand new seasonal tracks -- and we always provide website links and ordering information -- so don't miss out on YOUR chance to take advantage of our service and let the rest of the music world at large know about your upcoming concerts and releases!
Meanwhile ...

We told you a few weeks ago about the brand new Chicago Christmas Album ... believe it or not, their THIRD holiday release ... (appropriately titled "O Christmas Three"!!!)  The new CD drops on October 4th ... but we're hoping to have a couple of advance tracks to share with you before then.  (When we saw Chicago in concert at Ravinia a few weeks ago, the hauled out a lit Christmas tree and then performed their new arrangement of "Rockin' Around The Christmas Tree" ... to the delight of tens of thousands of fans.)  We're really looking forward to this new release of some great Christmas Classics!
There are also a couple of VERY special Christmas / Holiday shows planned for right here in Chicago this year.
Paul Revere and the Raiders (who rarely travel these days ... they seem to mostly work out of their home base in Branson, Missouri ... spend a few weeks in Vegas or perform on cruise ships ...) are coming back to Chicago for ONE SHOW ONLY at The Rosemont Theatre on Saturday, December 17th.  They're calling it "A Rockin' Christmas" ... and it will be ... these guys put on one of the best shows we've seen in years ... and, for this special event, they'll have Gary Puckett with them on the bill!  Tickets are sure to go fast for this one ... so don't miss out ... order yours today!

Our FH Buddy Ron Onesti has booked America back at The Arcada Theatre for another Christmas Show this year.  They'll be appearing on Saturday, December 3rd (along with special guest Jim Messina) at the intimate surroundings of this fine venue.

Local talents The Buckinghams and The Ides Of March also have special holiday shows coming up ... The Ides are doing a show (ALSO on December 3rd ... and ALSO in St. Charles, IL!) at The Dellora A. Norris Cultural Arts Center.  For tickets, call 630 - 584 - 7200.  (Whoa!  This one's not even on their website yet!!!  Another FH scoop!)

As for The Bucks, they've got several dates scheduled in December ... but I've yet to receive verification that any of these will be, in fact, Christmas shows.  However, with a STELLAR Christmas Album available through their website, I fully expect them to treat the audience to a holiday tune or two during the month of December.  Upcoming dates include The Bartlett Performing Arts Center on December 9th, two nights at Viper Alley in Lincolnshire, IL on December 10th and 12th, an appearance at Infinity Hall in Norfolk, CT, on December 18th, and a performance at Rams Head On Stage in Annapolis, MD on December 19th.  (As a matter of fact, right after the first of the year, The Buckinghams will join Paul Revere and the Raiders, Davy Jones of The Monkees and Charlie Thomas of The Drifters as performers on a "Concerts At Sea" cruise scheduled from January 21st to January 28th!)

For those of you who DON'T happen to live in Chicago ... here's where else you can catch some of these other acts:

PAUL REVERE AND THE RAIDERS will also be performing their Christmas Show in Lakeland, Florida, on December 15th (with special guest Micky Dolenz) ... and, although it's not billed as a holiday show, they'll be appearing in El Cajon, California, on December 10th with Chuck Negron, formerly of Three Dog Night!

AMERICA has several dates lined up in late November through the middle of December ... including:
November 29th - The Dr. Pepper Arena in Frisco, TX
November 30th - The Stafford Center For The Performing Arts in Stafford, TX
December 3rd - The above-mentioned show at The Arcada Theatre in St. Charles, IL
December 5th and 6th the guys will be performing at The Birchmere in Alexandria, VA
December 8th - The Saenger Theatre in Mobile, AL
December 10th - Ruth Eckerd Hall in Clearwater, FL
December 11th - King Center For The Perfroming Arts in Melbourne, FL
December 14th at The Wellmont Theatre in Montclair, NJ
December 16th at NYCB Theatre at Westbury in Westbury, NY
and December 17th at The Keswick Theatre in Glenside, PA
With a brand new album to promote ... a great Christmas album under their belts ... and a dozen National Top 40 Hits, you can rest assured that this'll be a great show no matter WHAT their song line-up is!
